Washoe County Registrar of Voters
Presentation: Dan Burk will present responses to the questions raised by ETF member Samantha Hudson at the April 7, 2008 meeting regarding the Secretary of State's recent decision about election recalls.
Discussion and possible approval of a draft list of recommendations to be presented to the Washoe County BCC. (Possible recommendations include, but are not limited to: increasing security at the Equipment and Supply Center, ideas for the Emergency Preparedness Plan (offsite record storage, moving Equipment and Supply Center out of the flood plan, developing a disaster preparation/recovery plan, insurance coverage, and an override to the sprinkler system), creating videotape/interactive training for poll workers, have the Registrar of Voters attend NACO events, create a centralized location for the Registrar of Voters, include information about Citizen Care on sample ballots, create means by which memory cards cannot be removed from network prematurely, have polling managers call when they close their polls, rotate workers unloading vehicles dropping off on election night, purchase a slip card security system for election central/conference room, develop photo ids for temp-hire workers and poll workers, purchase cabling with locks for vendor deliver Edges at polling sites, purchase security transfer containers for Polling Place Manager and Precinct Chair supplies.)
